Description of Meadowcroft No 1
Meadowcroft House is a gentlemans residence built in 1908 for a John Makin Kenworthy, whose initials can still be seen in the stained glass windows of the main staircase. Over the last century Meadowcroft has been used as a school and hotel before being converted into a stunning complex of apartments. Meadowcroft has 2 acres of grounds including mature trees, manicured lawns, shrubberies and more natural areas. The all weather tennis court is available for use of guests and was re-laid in 2006. For the less energetic the gardens are full of birds and rabbits and if you are lucky you will see the deer who visit the gardens. The grounds are large enough for a leisurely stroll and to keep you and your children happily occupied.
