This thatched cottage from the famine era is one of four cottages situated 5.5 miles from the lrish speaking village of Carraroe 27 miles from Galway City. It shares a delightful garden to roam around and is a stroll to the seashore which at high tide can come right up to the front of the cottages. The cottage has been renovated to retain the style and character of yesteryear. This cottage was once home to Lady Gregory's maid.
