The mountains can be glimpsed from the main bedroom and the cottage is just a short stroll from delightful open countryside at Lickbarrow Hill and, a little further, to magnificent view points at School Knott and Brant Fell-perfect for evening rambles to see stunning Lakeland sunsets. The local shop is a stones throw away, pub about 5 minutes walk, Windermeres shops and restaurants less than ten minutes and Bowness Bay and Lake Windermere about fifteen minutes walk. The owner is a local guide and provides a useful selection of Lake District guide books, maps and touring itineries to help you make the most of your visit to this beautiful part of the Lake District National Park.
